Claim Support

Claim Support for Restoration Contractors, Paid When Paid

Redefined Restoration LLC provides administrative claim support to restoration contractors: invoice status follow-up, supporting documentation, and answers to scope, pricing and line-item questions. The fee is 3.5% of the final amount paid, minus any amount the carrier approved in writing before we took the file. Nothing paid means no fee.

Got invoices aging in AR on short-paid claims, and no one with the time to follow up or pull the documentation together?

Claim support handles the administrative side of your own invoice: status follow-up, documentation packages behind the estimate, and answers to scope, pricing and line-item questions. The fee is 3.5% of the final amount paid above the carrier's written baseline, and you're only invoiced after you confirm the payment arrived. Nothing paid, no fee.

Is this you?

  • Invoices past 60 or 90 days with no clear status
  • A supplement that's ready, but no one has time to assemble the documentation
  • Line-item questions from the desk adjuster that sit in your inbox for days

What does claim support include?

Short answer: Follow-up on invoice status, documentation behind the estimate, and answers to line-item questions. You make every decision.

  1. Follow up.

We check on the status of your invoice and keep the file moving.

  2. Document.

We provide the photos, notes and documentation behind the estimate.

  3. Explain.

We answer scope and pricing questions on the line items written.

  4. You decide.

You review every response and make every decision on your invoice.

  5. You get paid, then we invoice.

3.5% of the final amount paid, once you confirm funds arrived.

What you receive

  • Ongoing status follow-up on your invoice
  • Documentation packages supporting the estimate
  • Line-item, scope and pricing answers based on the estimate
  • An invoice from us only after you confirm payment arrived

What claim support is not

Short answer: It isn't public adjusting, negotiation or legal help.

Redefined Restoration LLC is not a public adjuster, insurance adjuster, insurance agent or broker, or law firm. We don't represent or advise policyholders, don't adjust, negotiate or settle claims, don't interpret policies or give coverage opinions, and don't contact policyholders about their claims. Claim support is administrative help with your own invoice and estimate for work you performed or will perform. You are the party of record on every invoice and submission. Accepting, disputing, revising or resolving any amount is your decision. Claim support is not a collections service.

How is the 3.5% calculated?

Short answer: On the final amount paid, not the amount billed, and never on the carrier's written baseline.

Claim support fee examples
A: Our estimateB: Your estimateC: Both services
Starting pointInvoiced to insurance $30,000.00Your estimate $10,000.00Approved estimate $30,000.00
Final amount paid$28,000.00$9,500.00$28,000.00
Fees3.5% of $28,0003.5% of $9,500$300 estimating (1%) + $980 claim support
You pay$980.00$332.50$1,280.00 total

In Example C, the $300 estimating fee is billed on the 14th/28th and the $980 is billed once you're paid.

Nothing paid means no fee.

What is the baseline?

Short answer: The amount the carrier agreed to in writing before we took the file. It's never part of the 3.5%.

The baseline can be an approved estimate, an approval letter, or a payment already issued. It is always measured at RCV (replacement cost value, before depreciation is withheld). Before we start, we confirm the baseline with you in writing, for example "Baseline: $20,000.00 RCV." If there's no written approval, the baseline is $0.

Baseline examples for claim support
A: Original already approvedB: Nothing approved yet
Baseline$20,000.00 (in writing, RCV)$0.00

Total fees$830.00$1,530.00

Can I use claim support on an estimate I wrote?

Short answer: Yes. Same 3.5%, applied to the final amount approved and paid.

Money the carrier already approved before we took the file is never included.

FAQs

What if my invoice never gets paid?

Claim support is paid when paid. If nothing is paid, there's no 3.5% fee.

Is 3.5% based on what we billed or what we got?

What you got. It applies only to the final amount paid, never to the baseline the carrier approved in writing before we got involved.

Who makes the decisions on my invoice?

You do, always. We provide follow-up and documentation. Accepting, disputing or resolving any amount is your decision.

Is the 3.5% charged to the homeowner?

No. It's compensation from you, the contractor, for our services. It's never a share of a policyholder's insurance proceeds and is never charged to a policyholder.

Do you guarantee payment?

No. We don't guarantee coverage, approval, any payment amount, or the timing of any payment.
